No Second Chances! - Permadeath means when you die, there's no coming back. No two play-throughs will be quite the same. Randomized Galaxy - Each play-through will feature different enemies, events, and results to your decisions. Use this liberally in sector 1 to reduce risk. 
Late-game Abandoned sectors can be extremely dangerous. Despite slow weapons, you can still get the first shot by hacking enemy weapons. Lanius ships compact layouts make them more vulnerable to flak and beam weapons. However, I currently prefer the Human on piloting, since that makes it easier for the Lanius to help each other with nearby repairs. Be the Captain You Want - Hundreds of text based encounters will force you to make tough decisions. You can put a Lanius on piloting, to protect it from boarders. FTL is now available in 9 languages! English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and Simplified Mandarin!
