The three larger, quiet student study rooms have glass windows to let in natural light, which provides a nice view on a nice Florida day. If someone is looking for a place to study without the noise and too many distractions, the third floor is the best choice. More information about reserving these places can be found here here. These areas allow devices to connect to monitors, maximizing the group’s learning efforts. The first and second floors also offer multiple media landscape tables designed to support collaborative group work. Students can purchase pens, hand sanitizer, batteries, scantrons and more. The first floor also offers an additional vending machine for other necessities and school supplies. Students can purchase snacks or drinks from the vending machines on the first and second floors. From these areas, students can get help to find books, special collections, research materials, UNF archives, and more. On the ground floor, students will also find the information, ITS help and research helpdesks.

On the first floor is the Perdue study area, which offers tutoring opportunities. The first three floors also offer printers and copiers available to students with their Osprey1 card. Students are allowed three hours a day and up to three days a week. Reservations can be made up to seven days in advance. If you want to eliminate as many distractions as possible, private study rooms are available on the first three floors by reservation only. “The level of quiet increases as the floors get higher,” explained Cadi Swaim, a sophomore at UNF, “so if you have a study group, do it on the first and second floors.”įloors one and two are considered group study floors and peer conversations are permitted Floors three and four are reserved for quiet study, and conversation is strongly discouraged. Tommy G’s currently consists of four different levels to accommodate students’ preferred environments and houses 20 group study rooms.

With a valid Osprey1 card, students can borrow a variety of materials for free for a limited time. “You don’t have to swipe your card!
